1 John 4:4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
The Holy Spirit living in you is much stronger than any attack by the devil. You can overcome any obstacle through Jesus Christ. Hard times will come, and the devil will try to overpower; stand with God and he will make you stronger! Our Father knows what you are going through. He has a plan and reason for everything, even if it doesn’t seem like it at that particular moment. It isn’t our place to question God, we need to pray and let him know that we are still here beside him, and faithful to him. We need to leave it all in his mighty hands.
When you find yourself facing these trials and hard times, just think about it like the changing of the seasons. It can be rough at first, but God always sees us through. We are his children and he is always watching and protecting us whether we see it or not.
Lately, my hard times has been my son’s crazy attitude, he just turned 5 and started kindergarten. His attitude and back talk really tests my faith and patience some days. I honestly don’t know how mothers with multiple children do it, but I am so proud of you, stay strong! Although my son tests my me more than I ever imagined, he is still the light of my life, and God is there with us along our journey.
On another note, my faith has also been tested and the devil is trying to tare me away from God in other ways, as I’m sure many of you are dealing with too. Both of my cars are currently broke down, and we didn’t know what we were going to do. The thought of him losing his job, and the halt it has put on me finding a job had and still has us stressed to the max. Luckily God is there and watching over us, and gave us people in our lives that have been able to help us out until we are able to fix the issues with our cars. God is so good and we would just be completely lost without him and his mighty power!
Never give up! When you feel you are the lowest of lows, PRAY! God will see you through!

Don’t Deny the Father!
“Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will acknowledge him before my father in heaven. But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown you before my father in heaven.” Matthew 10:32-33
Don’t let the judgement of others cause you pain, being a believer and standing for God is what will get you into heaven. Sometimes non-believers will try to discourage and tare us down, do not let their jealousy and ignorance (if you will) pull you away from your relationship with Christ! Pray for those people and stand strong with faith in God. These persecutions from others because of your faith might be tough at times, but you will be greatly rewarded by our father when you get to heaven. Heaven itself is not our reward for suffering on earth, it is a gift freely received by faith in Christ alone. Those who stand up in Jesus’ name, will get to stand by him before our father in heaven.
Do not be ashamed to be a child of God because he isn’t ashamed of us; and let’s face it, he probably has more reasons to be ashamed of some of us than us of him. Stop trying to impress others and please them, focus on pleasing God for he has already impressed us! God saved us not because of anything that we have done, but because he wanted to, and by his grace we are set free!

Losing Your Way
Faith by itself if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. James 2:17
Losing faith is easy to do when you don’t maintenance your relationship with God. Take action, and don’t let anything distract you from that faith.
I have a friend, she doesn’t believe in God, she was raised in church and knows right from wrong; however, as an adult she says “Christianity and church have never helped me.” My heart breaks when I hear this, I don’t want anyone to go down that path of losing faith and giving up on God.
So, if she feels like this when she was raised in Christ and has seen how much he has done in her life as well as people around her; then who else is feeling this way and falling away from God? Who else is feeling like giving up because things seem to be falling apart or not going as planned? This is a part of life and a part of God’s plan for you, he won’t throw anything at you that you can’t handle. Stand strong!
Everyone needs help and encouragement sometimes. Sometimes we need to be reminded of everything God has created and done in our lives, starting with letting us wake up to enjoy another beautiful day. He keeps us safe every time we walk out our front door, he is there in everything we do. People sometimes lose sight of that, and take it for granted; letting temptation interfere and influence their lives; it’s too easy.
Don’t fall into that trap, anything important takes work, so work hard to stay right with God, have faith, and don’t stray from Jesus. He loves you and is always there, even when you least expect it. He has performed many miracles in my life and I have witnessed many more in other’s lives as well; those however, are stories for another time. So, until then remember: Pray, love, and don’t lose faith in God, he loves you and so do I!
A Little About Myself
Hello everyone, my name is Quinna, I am 27 years old. I am the mother of an incredible 5 year old boy who never ceases to amaze me. I love photography, it has been a passion of mine since I was about 8 years old. Right after I graduated high school I moved to Nashville, Tennessee where I studied photography for 2 years at the Art Institute.
I am a Christian. Although, I have had my share of struggles in life and lost my faith on the path to where I am today; however, God never gave up on me, he has been patient and forgiving of my short comings and poor choices in my past. He brought me back to him, where I belong. We are all human, and sometimes we lose track of ourselves and our faith, in this world it happens. Once I found my way back, I realized how bad I had messed up and fallen astray. With that being said, I have started this blog to help keep myself on track with the Lord, as well as trying to help and encourage others on their path with the Almighty. This blog is for myself just as much as it is for others on their walk with Christ. From one person who struggles from time to time, to another who needs to hear (even if they don’t know it) that you are not alone and God is always with you. Through the good times and the bad, he is always there. When in doubt or you feel like all hope is lost PRAY!
I hope this new beginning helps you as much as it continues to help me. I will be posting scriptures with encouraging messages and personal experiences, as well as my personal photography to show the beauty that God has created, and inspiration. I will be focusing on the female perspective from time to time, and sharing some of my experiences as a mom of a rambunctious, growing boy with more energy than I ever imagined, but my messages will inspire and help men as well. WORSHIP THE LORD YOUR GOD AND SERVE HIM ONLY!
There will be times when you feel like giving up, that everything is crashing down around you, you might think about turning to an easy solution; a vice if you will; that will distract you or numb the pain of whatever is happening in your life. This is not the answer, and it will only help you forget for a short while.
These times are when you should turn to God the most, when you need him the most, he hears your every cry and is always there for you even if it doesn’t feel like that at the moment. Don’t turn away from him, pray, call his name, shout to him if you need to. Thank God for everything in your life that he has given you and ask for guidance through those hard times, and remember that he always has a plan for you!
Don’t let the distractions from everyday life and the world around you come between you and your relationship with God. Satan will try to drag you down, to convince you to glorify things or people in this world, but it is Jesus Christ who is always there, even in the darkest moments of your life. You are not alone, many people (myself included) have been there, and will be there again. Its almost as if it’s a part of life that you have to deal with to bring you closer to him. I am one of those people that “has to learn things the hard way”; but I can HONESTLY say that even in my very worst, when I thought I had nowhere to turn, that God was there for me and always has been, I know he always will be.
Don’t give up, keep fighting for your relationship with the ultimate one, and he will never let you down!
